Anger Management
At the Carefree Fine Art Festival last March I was watching tons of sold art carried past me and none of it mine. As the day went on, I got angry. I had worked hard to be there, and my art wasn't selling. Well anger does no good! The next day I put on my paint clothes, got out my giant pallet knives, covered paintings on a wall in my booth, hung a 4'x4' canvas over the covered ones, and madly started slopping paint on the canvas. No plan, no drawing, no love. As it started taking shape, I started to feel better. The better I felt the happier I got. The happier I got the more people came in my booth. They watched in amazement as I told them the story of this piece. Everyone knew exactly what I was talking about too, because they had all been there. They envied my method of release. I suggested they find a way to do the same. And I started making sales. It turned out to be a good show. So I named the piece Anger Management.
